Sunday Morning "Talking Heads" 10-5-2008

George Wenschhof

Lots to discuss this Sunday morning. Analysis of the Vice-President debate will dominate along with the 800+ Billion bailout bill, renamed the rescue plan signed into law by President Bush on Friday. Also, sure to be mentioned, is the upcoming Obama-McCain debate on Tuesday. It will be held at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and moderated by Tom Brokaw.

Look to see the last four week strategy of the campaigns to receive attention from the guests. Will the McCain campaign bring out Reverend Wright videos and release ads designed to scare the voters in regard to Obama's ability to keep their family safe? What will be the impact of the McCain campaign pulling out of Michigan?

NBC "Meet the Press" - Paul Begala - Democratic strategist and Mike Murphy - Republican Strategist. Roundtable with David Gregory, Gwen Ifill, Peggy Noonan, Chuck Todd, and David Yepsen.

ABC "This Week" - Swing state representatives galore with Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell (D), Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty (R), Senator Mel Martinez (R-Fla.), and Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Oh.)

CBS "Face the Nation" - More swing state elected officials with Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calf.), Governor Jennifer Granholm (D-Mich.), Representatives Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Heather Wilson (R-NM). Also, NY Times David Brooks will appear.

Fox News Sunday - Senator Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) will discuss the VP debate. Former Bush White House adviser, Karl rove will also appear.

CNN "Late Edition" - McCain campaign aide Nancy Pfotenhauer will be a guest.
