Biden is a Solid Choice for Obama

Well, the weeks of speculation is over and the Democratic Ticket is now in place. Delaware Senator Joe Biden will make an excellent running mate for Senator Barack Obama. Some have questioned the foreign policy experience of Obama and Biden will put those questions to rest. As chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Biden adds tremendous experience in this area. Politico.com has more here.

Upon learning of Senator Biden's selection, Maryland Democratic Party chair, Michael Cryor who worked on Biden's first Presidential campaign, said:

"The selection of Senator Biden is smart and strategic. He is extremely capable on matters of foreign policy and international affairs, and his ability to frame the complex issues facing America in simple terms is a gift. As importantly, he will be helpful to the campaign's effort to win the adjacent states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey."
