The last of the political heavyweights has been announced as speaking the same night Senator Barack Obama accepts the party nomination. This will take place at the home of the Denver Broncos football team at Invesco Field. It is estimated the stadium can hold up to 75,000 people. CNN.com has more here.
To many, Gore won the 2000 election, a closely fought battle with questions surrounding voting systems (remember the hanging chads?) eventually settled by a Supreme Court ruling. Al Gore has gone on to become a worldwide leader in bringing attention to global warming and recently started a program http://www.wecansolveit.org/ aimed at reducing energy dependence on oil.
