I noticed we have now published over 620 posts since we began this site ten months ago. It began with me as a writer assisted by my friend Vicki as my site administrator. The system being used, a six year old Compaq desktop with Windows XP. Without her help and incredible patience with me, we would not have grown to where we are today.
I want to thank our regular viewers: In Maryland, my home state, we have viewers from Greenbelt, Baltimore, Frederick, Hagerstown, Bethesda, Laurel, and Silver Spring/Rockville. We also have regulars from Vienna, Reston and Mc Lean, Virginia, D.C., Philadelphia, Pa., Los Angeles, Calf, Sarasota and Ft. Myers, Fla., N.Y., and Minnesota. In addition, we now have viewers who visit periodically from states all over the country and from around the world.
If you have not already done so, we encourage you to sign up to receive daily updates from the site and to tell your friends and co-workers about our site.
We feet it is important to provide Democratic positions on local as well as national issues.
However, managing the site takes time and upgrades to the system are obviously needed due to the increased views from you. We hope that you will consider donating to help the site grow. Contributions of any size are welcomed. A dedicated and larger server as well as other technical upgrades are needed to provide you with continued timely Democratic news and commentary. We ask you to consider a contribution of $10, $50, $100, $250 or more.
Today, we have six writers on the site and we are always talking to people who may be interested in contributing a regular column. I want to thank all of our writers and Vicki - it is because of them the site continues to grow in viewers daily.
We have also added many exciting links to sites of interest and will continue to update as we go along. We constantly look at ways we can bring the viewer what they want to see and read. Earlier, we hosted a online primary forum for the Democratic candidates for the 6th district Congressional seat in Maryland. Recently, we published a series of columns from Frederick County, Maryland Democratic County Commissioners on waste disposal options for the community.
Along the way, we discovered you enjoyed reading the "Dem Campaign Chatter" which provides links to the Democratic news stories of the day along with some short commentary by me, so that is now published daily. The Maryland Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee also now send us press releases and provide us with a "heads up" on the latest news.
Yet, we are constantly looking at ways to improve so if you have suggestions, we want to hear from you! You can email me at georgewenschhof@gmail.com
There is more we want to be able to offer you but upgrades in equipment are needed as well as funds to offset loss of income as I devote full time to this endeavor. We ask that you show your support for the site by making a contribution. Whether it is $10, $50, $100, $250 or more, it will go toward keeping this site active and growing.
Your contribution is not tax deductible but it will go toward keeping Democratic positions on the issues available for you and other viewers to read.
We appreciate all of your incredible support and with your help we intend to provide even more for your enjoyment.
Please send contributions by clicking here and following the instructions. Thank You!
