Today, Obama is in Green Bay, Wisconsin - He is scheduled to deliver a major speech on the economy. Biden is in Baltimore, Maryland and Michelle Obama is in Wausau, Madison, and West Allis, Wisconsin. Michelle Obama has been a constant on the campaign trial. With the three of them all doing a great job on their own they are able to cover much more ground and talk personally to more voters than McCain and Palin.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says we will not hand over a 700 Billion blank check to Wall Street - Speaking to Congress, she called for independent oversight, protection for Homeowners, and constraints on excessive compensation. Thepage.time.com has the text of her remarks here.
It is also important to keep in mind that it took years of abuse and the failed financial policies of the Bush administration to put the country in this financial crisis. It is doubtful, a 3 page program, written in a few days that essentially only says the US government will buy up all the bad bank loans (including foreign banks) will solve a problem that has existed for so many years.

McCain Campaign Manager Rick Davis on payroll of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for five years and 2 million - his pay was $30,000 per month - his job was to keep stricter regulation on them from being implemented. The NY Times has more here.
Let's see how McCain pivots away from his decades of support for deregulation, the major factor in the economic meltdown the country is experiencing today.
