Today, Obama is home in Chicago, Illinois - He does not have planned events today. However, his campaign headquarters is in Chicago as well. Biden is in Kalispell, Montana. Last week, Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer gave a great speech that fired up the crowd at the Democratic convention in Denver. He has also just become the headline speaker for Tom Harkin's annual Steak Fry in Iowa next week. Read more here.

--------------------

McCain-Palin try to steal "change" from Obama - Yesterday, in Terre Haute, Indiana Obama pointed out how ridiculous this attempt is. He pointed out McCain having voted with Bush over 90% of the time and Palin hiring lobbyists to get dollars from earmarks before now saying she is against them. CNN.com has more here.

--------------------

McCain's temper a concern for many - over the years, for those who have worked with him closely, McCain's temper outbursts have been often. The accounts are many, ranging from his berating a campaign worker to cursing out a person providing testimony in front of a Congressional committee. McClatchydc.com has more here.

--------------------

Obama and McCain to make joint appearance on anniversary of 9/11 - they are expected to appear together briefly at ground zero in New York City on Thursday. This will mark the seventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The NY Times has more here.

--------------------

Senator Hillary Clinton says campaign will be decided by the issues - yesterday, she met with New York politicians for breakfast and then walked in the annual labor Day parade. She did not answer direct questions pertaining to Governor Palin. CNN.com has more here.

Here's a thought - How about a debate between Governor Palin and Senator Clinton? that would be fun to watch - maybe even a prelude to 2012.

--------------------

Rasmussen daily tracking poll has it tied with Obama 48% and McCain 48% - this includes leaners - however, without the leaners it is still tied with each candidate receiving 46%. Rasmussen Reports has more here. This data would indicate that almost all voters have made up their minds which is extremely doubtful. It is more likely that 10-12% of the electorate will be making up their minds over the next eight weeks.

RealClearPolitics.com has a poll average showing Obama 46.4% and McCain 44.6%. You can read the data here.
