Governors Schweitzer and O'Malley Elected Officers of DGA

Yesterday, after the Democratic Governors had met with President-elect Barack Obama, they elected officers for the following year.

Outgoing chair, Governor Joe Manchin (W.Va.) announced Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer as the incoming Chair and Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley as the Vice-Chair for the Democratic Governors Association (DGA).

You may recall, Governor Schweitzer was a hit at the Democratic National Convention. His high energy level will be a plus.

Both Governor Schweitzer and O'Malley spoke of how they looked forward to working together with President-elect Obama in solving the economic problems facing the country today.
