Today, President-elect Barack Obama continues to hold private meetings in Chicago - Vice-President elect Joe Biden is in Washington D.C. doing the same.

Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy wins last undecided House race - The Ohio 15th district outcome was delayed due to legal challenges on disputed ballots. She defeated Republican Steve Stivers to become the first Democrat to represent any part of Franklin County in a generation. The Democrats picked up 21 seats in this election and now have a 79 seat lead in the House; 257-178. The Columbus Dispatch has more here. The remaining undecided race from the November elections is the U.S. Senate race in Minnesota between Republican Norm Coleman and Democrat Al Franken.

Obama administration could change political make-up of Federal Judiciary - The Washington Post has a good read today - it is possible that during the Obama administration, Democrats could regain the majority from the current 56% Republican Judges. You can read the article here.

Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius removes herself from consideration for a Cabinet position with the Obama administration - she was an early supporter of Obama and was also rumored as a possible Vice-President pick. Lately, speculation was on her selection as Labor or Education Secretary. She is in her second and last term as Governor,as mandated by the state constitution.
