Expect more speculation on cabinet appointments by President-elect Barack Obama. Especially, the hot rumor of Senator Hillary Clinton(D-NY) for Secretary of State. How about D.C. lawyer Greg Craig for White House counsel? Or, long time friend and adviser Valerie Jarret accepting the position of Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Liaison.
Also discussion will surely occur pertaining to the G-20 economic world summit called by President Bush. Wall Street continues it's bumpy ride with the Dow ending the week at 8497.31. How about Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson changing the intent of the 700 Billion bailout bill? Twelve days ago, one could have easily speculated that President-elect would have kept Paulson on for at least the first year of his administration - forget that now -expect his replacement to be among the first named.
How about will there be a stimulus bill or a bill to help automakers passed by a lame duck congress? Although both appear needed, don't expect either until Obama and a new congress is sworn in to office.
