Manchin Responds to Republican Ad in West Virginia Senate race - the Republican John Raese campaign has shot itself in the foot by airing an ad with actors asked to dress up as "hicks" who say Manchin needs to stay in W. Virginia. The actors were from Philadelphia. Now, the Manchin campaign is running an ad which points this out along with the fact that Raese's wife is registered to vote in Florida and can not even vote for her husband, following with "and you shouldn't either".

Israel/Palestine Peace Talks hinge on West Bank Settlements - Palestine has given the U.S. and Israel a month time frame to halt any future settlements in the West Bank if they are to continue in peace talks. This gives the Obama administration time to negotiate with Israel. Reuters.com has more here.
The one month deadline also makes the decision to continue or end the peace talks take place after the mid term elections. A collapse of the peace talks, long championed by the Obama administration, prior to the elections would be yet another negative for Democrats.

Social Security changes may be part of recommendations from Deficit Commission - the commission established by president Obama will be releasing their report by December 1. Look to see social security benefit adjustments and a change in age from 65 to 70 be part of the recommendations. Politico.com has more here.
