First Challenge To Maryland Redistricting Filed - the first of what is expected to be several challenges to the congressional redistricting passed by the state, has been filed. The new map provides for the opportunity of a Democratic pick up in district 6 which has been represented by Republican Roscoe Bartlett for the last ten terms. The Baltimore Sun has more here.
Political analysts expect the redrawn districts to be upheld when reviewed by the courts.
