Occupy Wall Street Gaining Attention -
the unorganized spontaneous demonstrations which began in New York City are now receiving attention from the politicos, who are not quite sure how to react. Unions and MoveOn.org have jumped in and offered their support as Occupy Wall street demonstrations are now taking place in cities across the country.

In his press conference yesterday, President Obama acknowledged the demonstrations and said he understood the frustration many Americans feel today.

Democratic Party leaders are still trying to make sense of it all and deciding whether to embrace the demonstrations. TPM.com has more here.

Small Gain in Jobs Unlikely To Change Unemployment Rate - 103,000 jobs were added last month, but the Euro zone financial crisis and resulting drop in stock markets around the world has led to a very low level of consumer confidence, increasing the likelihood of another recession. Today, President Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness will meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hosting the event. You can read more here.

Politico.com is reporting President Obama will be meeting with top Senate Democrats this morning. One can presume the discussion will be all about passing the American Jobs Act.

Three Women Share Nobel Peace Prize -
from the Washington Post article: Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Liberian activist Leymah Gbowee and Tawakkul Karman, a Yemeni opposition leader, were honored for their “non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women’s rights to full participation in peace-building work.” You can read it in total here.

First Casualty From Solyndra -
Jonathon Silver, the top loans official for the Energy Department has resigned in the wake of the scandal. Solyndra has filed for bankruptcy after receiving over 500 million in federal support. Reuters.com has more here.
