West Virginia Governor Election Today - the election the result of former Democratic Governor Joe Manchin being elected to the U.S. Senate. Acting Governor Earl Ray Tomblin is facing Republican Bill Maloney and three independent candidates. The winner will serve the remaining year of Manchin's term. CNN.com has more here.

Democrats had been expecting to easily win this race, but it is now considered to be a close contest.
