Today, President Barack Obama hosts a jobs summit at the White House -
he will meet with business leaders to discuss ways to create jobs as unemployment has now reached 10.2%. Tomorrow, he will begin a "White House to Main street" tour by visiting Allentown, Pennsylvania. You can read more here.

Tonight, the First Family will attend the national tree lighting ceremony at The Ellipse.


Congress meanwhile is preparing it's own 300 Billion jobs bill -
extension of unemployment benefits, small business loans, state fiscal aid, along with funds for highway and transit. has more here.


Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) wants health care bill approved prior to Christmas -
public option and anti-abortion language continue to be difficult negotiations in the Senate. has more here.


Climate control summit to begin Monday in Copenhagen -
already the United Nations climate chief; Yvo de Boer is saying the industrialized nations are not offering enough reduction in emissions. President Obama has indicated that with approval of Congress, the U.S. would reduce emissions 17% by 2020. has more here.
