President Barack Obama and the First Lady leave Oslo, Norway and head for home -
his acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace prize received positive feedback from both sides of the aisle back home.

Vice President Joe Biden to stump for Senator Chris Dodd today in Connecticut -
he will appear at a Fire station in East Hartford and tout the success of the Stimulus bill. While, it is a year away from the dreaded mid term elections, Dodd is behind in polls and expected to face a stiff challenge. Democrats hold a very slim filibuster proof majority in the senate and do not want to lose Dodd's seat. Politico.com has more here.

Senate to continue working this weekend on health care legislation -
agreement has been slow in coming but a vote to end debate may come Saturday and a vote to approve legislation on Sunday. TheHill.com has more here.

Americans have little confidence of Institutions and political parties -
a interesting poll from CNBC.com which shows the obvious dissatisfaction with the current economic state of affairs. Obama's leadership on the economy received 46%, Democratic Party - 39% and the Republican Party only 26% approval from the respondents of the poll. You can read more of the poll results here.

Retail sales up a higher than expected 1.3% in November -
this followed a 1.1% increase in October that was less than what had been expected. Bloomberg.com has more here.
