Weekly Unemployment Claims Drop - by 9,000 to 363,000. Weekly applications have fluctuated between 360,000 and 390,000 since January. During that time, employers have added an average of about 150,000 jobs a month. The unemployment rate has declined from 8.3 percent in January to 7.8 percent in September.  You can read more here.

Obama Returns To Campaigning with a Flourish - after holding a meeting this morning with FEMA officials to go over relief operations underway after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, President Obama will attend rallies in Wisconsin, Nevada and Colorado.

President Obama's campaign announced on Wednesday a major, multi-state tour the weekend before the election, taking the candidate across Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Virginia on Saturday, and New Hampshire, Florida, Ohio, and Colorado on Sunday.
