171,000 Jobs Added in October, Stock Market Rises - the Dow Jones jumped 30 points within minutes of when the better than expected jobs report was issued.  Unemployment remained steady at 7.9 per cent in the last economic report to be issued prior to the election on Tuesday.  You can read more here.

Independent NY City Mayor Bloomberg Endorsement Gives Obama Boost - coming less than a week before the election and amid President Obama's strong handling of disaster relief in response to Hurrican Sandy.

In an opinion piece published by Bloomberg View, the Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-independent mayor said Obama has “taken major steps” to combat climate change, won “some important victories” on education and health care, and shares his values on abortion and gay rights.
 
“When I step into the voting booth, I think about the world I want to leave my two daughters, and the values that are required to guide us there,” Bloomberg, the founder and majority owner of Bloomberg News parent company Bloomberg LP, wrote.  You can read more here.

Obama Leads in Ohio, Florida and Virginia - the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll shows President Obama leading the three big swing states.  Florida: Obama 48% Romney 46%, Ohio: Obama 47% Romney 45% and Virginia: Obama 49% Romney 44%.

Murdock Down By 11 Points in Indiana Senate Race - Republican and tea party backed candidate Richard Murdock, who beat long term moderate Republican Senator Richard Lugar in the primary, now trails Democrat Joe Donnelly 47% - 36%.  Murdock's drop in the polls folowed his Todd Adkin like statement on rape and abortion during a recent debate.  You can read more here.
