New Claims For Unemployment Hit 9 Month Low -
initial claims fell 23,000 to 381,000, the lowest rate since February. Whether these numbers are a result of seasonal hiring and will be sustained over the coming year, will be determined. Reuters.com has more here.

Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania Remain Swing States -
no surprises in the latest Quinnipiac poll results. In Florida: Obama 42%, Romney 45% and Obama 46%, Gingrich 44%. In Ohio: Romney and Gingrich both received 43%, Obama 42%. In Pennsylvania, Obama 48% Gingrich 40%, and Obama 46%, Romney 43%. Quinnippiac has more here.

Warren Leads Brown in Massachusetts Senate Race -
the Boston Herald/UMass-Lowell poll shows Democrat Elizabeth Warren leading incumbent Republican Scott Brown 49-42%. You can read more here.

Sebelius Overrules FDA on "Morning After" Pill -
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius declined to allow wider use of the drug as recommended by the FDA. Kept in place was a requirement for women 17 or younger get a prescription for the drug. TheHill.com has more here.

Will Joseph Kennedy III Run For Frank Seat? - that is the current speculation as the 31 year old attorney and son of former Rep. Joe Kennedy (D.Mass.) is giving serious consideration to running to replace the retiring Barney Frank. RollCall.com has more here.

Still No Agreement on Payroll Tax Deduction Extension -
lots of blunder from Republican and Democratic leaders, but no agreement to date. The existing deduction provides for a average of 1,500 yearly savings for a family and is set to expire at the end of this month. CNN.com has more here.
