Obama Begins Reelection Campaign - at rallies in Columbus, Ohio and Richmond, Virginia; two swing states the Obama campaign intends to win.  The theme has been set with President Obama saying “We’ve come too far to abandon the change we fought for these past few years,” Obama said. “Virginia, we’ve got to move forward!”

In other words, don't let Mitt Romney take the country back to the failed policies of the George W. Bush admiistration.  TPM.com has more here.

9 Swing States Crucial to 2012 Election - who wins Florida, Ohio, New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin will likely determine the next President.  All of these states voted for Obama in 2008, but seven have elected Republican Governors since then.  The NY Times has more here.

French Voters to Determine President Today - the run-off election between President Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande is expected to be close, with Hollande leading in recent polls.  The Washington Post has more here.
