Obama To Propose 3 Trillion deficit reduction Plan - This morning, President Obama will release his deficit reduction plan which includes raising taxes on the wealthy. The White House also released a statement saying any plan which cuts medicare without raising taxes on the wealthy will be vetoed by Obama.
Overall, 3 trillion in reduction over a ten year period will be proposed along with 1.5 Trillion in new revenues.

Pennsylvania Presidential Electoral System Under Review - all, but two states award their electoral votes to the presidential candidate who wins the statewide popular vote. Pennsylvania is considering joining Nebraska and Maine who award their electoral votes by congressional district. President Obama won 55% of the vote in Pennsylvania in the 2008 election and all of their electoral votes. The NY Times has more here.
