No Job Creation in August - bad news reported by the Labor Department as 68,000 new jobs had been projected. Unemployment stayed at 9.1%. The Washington Post has more here.

This puts even more pressure on President Obama when he delivers his jobs speech to a joint session of Congress next Thursday. The time of the speech has been moved to 7:00 PM ET to avoid a conflict with the start of the NFL season.

Libyan Rebels Promise Democracy as Billions Released - Gaddafi continues to vow to fight as his former billions are being released from world banks to the rebels.
