Jobs Report Flat -
stock market set for a rocky road today as European and Asian Markets open down. New jobs report shows a better than expected growth of 117,000 for last month, while 125,000 per month is needed to keep pace with the population growth. Unemployment down to 9.1% You can read more here.

Obama To Propose Veteran Jobs Aid -
in an effort to help unemployed former members of the military. among the proposals the president is expected to outline today at the Washington Navy Yard, is a "Returning Heroes and Wounded Warrior Tax Credit". CNN.com has more here.

FAA Funding Restored -
4,000 furloughed workers have returned to work. Their lay-off along with related construction jobs cost the government an estimated 300 million. The Senate is expected to pass today the bill already agreed upon by the House, before they went into recess. The bill only provides temporary funding so the issue will be revisited in six weeks. 82% Disapprove of Congress -
not a surprise after the debt ceiling debacle on capitol hill. The NY Times/CBS News poll released today has the approval rating at 14%, matching the low point in March, 2010 which was during the health care debate. You can read more here.

235,000 Earn One Million in U.S. -
out of the 140 million who filed income tax returns. A mere 0.1%. Their tax rate was 24.4% compared to the 28.5% they were paying prior to when George W. Bush became president in 2002. You can read more here.
