Today, President Obama talks about the need to put the country first and end the partisanship and gridlock that exists in Washington today. In the weeks ahead, Obama said he will be submitting proposals to get the economy going and asked Americans to contact their Congressmen and urge them to end the gridlock.
Extending the payroll tax cut, increased infrastructure investment, patent reform and foreign trade deals are among the proposals the president wants congress to pass.
