Obama visits Indonesia -
where he lived from the age of 6-10. It is the home of one of the largest Muslin populations. The presidential trip was canceled twice previously, once due to the BP oil spill in the Gulf. The NY Times has more here.

The trip is likely to be shorter than planned due to a volcanic eruption and the fear of volcanic ash disrupting air travel.

8 House races still undecided -
yesterday, two Democrats; Rick Larson (D-Wash.) and Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) were declared winners. TheHill.com has more on the remaining undecided races here.

To date, Republicans have gained a total of 61 seats in the House.

Hoyer wins support of seven committee chairmen -
in his battle for the House Minority Whip position. Steny Hoyer (Md.), the current House Majority Leader is being challenged by the current majority whip James Clyburn (N.C.). The jockeying is due to Nancy Pelosi deciding to run for Minority Leader. Politico.com has more here.
