Inauguration Whistle-Stop Journey Begins Tomorrow

The Whistle Stop Tour begins tomorrow morning in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - then on to Wilmington, Delaware before arriving in Baltimore, Maryland late afternoon. President-elect Barack Obama, Vice President-elect Joe Biden will be joined by their families. Also chosen to accompany them are Americans representative of the diversity of our citizens across the country. The final destination of the trip will of course be Washington D.C. with the Inauguration talking place on Tuesday, January 20. The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) has more here.

They are also planning canned food drives in Wilmington and Baltimore in recognition of the national service initiative so if you are able to attend, bring along some canned goods. This is an historic and proud moment in our nation's history so if you live near the following stops, plan to attend.

Event Begins: 10:05 AM

Tickets: Tickets are required and have been distributed to the public.

Wilmington, DE

Where: Back of Wilmington Train Station, 100 South French Street, Wilmington, DE

Doors Open: 9:30 AM

Event Begins: 1:00 PM

Tickets: Event is open to the public

Baltimore, MD

Who: President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Biden and their families, and everyday Americans traveling on the Whistle Stop Tour

Where: War Memorial Plaza, 101 N. Gay St., Baltimore, MD

Doors Open: 1:00 PM

Event Begins: 4:15 PM

Tickets: Event is open to the public
