Young, Aloi Win Online Mayoral Poll

The weekend online FrederickPolitics.com City of Frederick mayoral poll has closed.

Alderman Karen Young won the Democratic vote with 75%, followed by Maryland state delegate Galen Clagett 19% and Carol Hirsch 5%

Alderman Shelley Aloi won the Republican vote with 56%, followed by incumbent mayor Randy McClement 31% and former mayor Jeff Holtzinger 12%.

With an online poll, results are not scientific and should not be used to gauge who will be the winner.

The number of participants in the poll represent about two per cent of the number of voters who will likely vote in the primary election.
