The City of Frederick primary will be held on September 10, less than six weeks away. Three Republicans and three Democrats will face off that day to determine who will move on from their political party to the general election held on November 5.
The three Democratic candidates are Maryland state delegate Galen Clagett, alderman Karen Young and Carol Hirsch.
The three Republican candidates are incumbent mayor Randy McClement, alderman Shelley Aloi and former mayor Jeff Holtzinger.
The general election will include unaffiliated candidate Jennifer Dougherty, who does not face opposition in the primary.
Over the next three days, I will be running Democratic and Republican mayoral candidate polls; located in the right hand margin. You can only vote once and the polls will close on Monday August 5 at 6:00 AM.
Enjoy!
