Akin To Face McCaskill in Missouri Senate Race - Republican Todd Adkin won a plurality in a close three way primary contest yesterday and will now face Democratic incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill. 

Yesterday, McCaskill said "Todd Akin has made it clear he would side with extreme politicians in Washington to privatize Medicare and Social Security, end student loans, and protect tax giveaways for corporations that ship Missouri jobs overseas. When Missourians have a chance to hear what Akin really stands for, they'll take a look at my record and see that I've always been an independent voice standing on the side of Missouri's families."  You can read more here.

Pakistan President Zardari Continues to Face Corruption Charges - the Supreme Court has summoned new Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf after he has refused to reopen an old money laundering case.  The previous Prime Minister was replaced for refusing to prosecute Zardari, who earned the name "Mr. 10%" for kickbacks he alegedly received.  You can read more here.
