Women Voices Heard in Komen Debacle - the absurd initial decision to end funding to Planned Parenthood for breast exams for poor women has awoken the voice of women. Rebecca Traister and Joan Walsh of Salon.com have a good read here.
An excerpt: "Overreach by the right has re-inspired movements – unions, voting rights, women’s rights — that have too long been dormant and too easily dismissed by their ideological opponents as outside the mainstream of American values, when in fact, they used to represent the most American of values."

Romney Romps in Nevada - as expected, Mitt Romney won with 48% of the vote. Newt Gingrich was able to edge out Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) for second 23%-19%. Rick Santorum was last with 11%. You can read more here.
Please note : second and third place could change as results from Clark County are not included.
An interesting stat I read recently showed half of Nevada registered Republicans were Mormons and 94% of them supported Romney. Which means, Romney only needed to win 33% of the rest of the Republican vote to end up with 48% of the overall vote.
Next up for the Republican presidential candidates will be Colorado and Minnesota on Tuesday.

Democrats Disagree on U.S. Post Office Bill - a bill proposed by Homeland Security Committee Chair Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and co-sponsored by Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Scott Brown (R-Mass.) has encountered Democratic opposition.
The bill was in response to the plan by the postmaster general to close as many as 3,500 post offices and reduce the work force from 550,000 to 330,000. It was scheduled for debate next week, but will now be delayed as compromise legislation is worked on. TheHill.com has more here.

Thousands Rally Against Putin - demonstrating many want a change from the Putin dominated politics in Russia. “Power to the millions, not the millionaires,” said Sergei Udaltsov, leader of the Left Front. “We are the millions.”
