O'Malley Clarifies Statement on "Face The Nation" - yesterday, the Maryland Democratic Governor said said "no" to the question of whether the United States is better off than it was four years ago. "No, but that's not the question of the elction," O'Malley told CBS' Bob Schieifer.

Today he said, "Here's the reality of our situation as a country," O'Malley told CNN's Soledad O'Brien. "We are clearly better off as a country because we're creating jobs rather than losing them."

Democratic Convention Set To Begin - tomorrow, in Charlotte, North Carolina, it will be the Democrats turn to convey to voters their vision of America.  The race for President is essentially tied in nationwide polling with the Republican convention having little to no effect on voters.  Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post has his thoughts on what to expect here.

Tuesday: Former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, and First Lady Michelle Obama

Wednesday: Maryland Rep. Chris Van Hollen, Sandra Fluke, California AG Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Bill Clinton
