Today, the President attends Easter services in D.C. - he has indicated the Church they attend today is not necessarily the Church they will be joining in Washington. The Obama family Church search has been very intense as they review their options. After the Reverend Wright controversy erupted during the Presidential campaign, the final choice is made even more difficult for the family. You can read more here.

President Barack Obama does not have to keep the new dog a secret any longer - after much speculation, AP has reported the new family dog will be a Portuguese water dog. The dog is a gift from Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and it will be arriving at the White House on Tuesday.. Sasha and Malia have named it "Bo" after the singer Bo Diddley and Michelle's Obama's father whose nickname was "Diddley". You can read more here.

On Friday, the president is off to attend the fifth summit of the Americas - It will take place in Trinidad and Tobago and Obama will want to continue the positive international momentum he received in his just completed European trip. The president is expected to continue the theme of "we all need to work together" but expect issues such as Immigration, Trade, and the current U.S. status of Cuba to enter the discussion. Municipalities turning to fees to bridge the budget gap - the NY Times has a good read on how cities are now charges fees for all types of services. One reference was to Winter haven, Florida where a woman was charged a fee after emergency personnel responded to a car accident. You can read the article here.
