Republican Fred Upton (R-Mich.) Says House will vote to Repeal Health care prior to state of the union address - he feels the votes are there to repeal. The question remains; is this just for show? The Senate will not vote to repeal and the president would veto the bill if it did pass. Politico.com has more here.

Happy New Year!
George Wenschhof
As I enter into this new year, it is hard to believe I am entering into the fourth full year of publishing my website. The time has flown by as I have posted over 2,120 entries during that time frame. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who visit my website.
The countless number of emails I receive from many of you are very much appreciated and I encourage you to keep them coming! Whether, it is note of encouragement, a statement in opposition to a position on an issue, or a suggestion for me to consider; they are all well received.
I wish you all a very "Happy, Safe and Healthy New Year!" and hope all of your personal resolutions come to fruition.
Every year seems to bring new challenges for all of us. I am constantly heartened by the strength, wisdom, and kindness exhibited in response to these challenges. It is this individual and collective fortitude and compassion which makes me look forward to each new year.
Best wishes to all of you.
