Sunday Morning "Talking Heads" Cheat Sheet

George Wenschhof

The Republican obsession with the Beghazi tragedy and their effort to politicize it will dominate the discussion Sunday morning.

NBC "Meet the Press" will talk with House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA), Amb. Thomas Pickering, the man who led the State Department’s investigation of the Benghazi attack and Senate Intelligence Chair Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Jack Reed (D-R.I.) will continue the Benghazi theme as well as talk about what level of involvement the U.S. should have in the Syrian conflict and the increase of sexual assaults in the U.S. military, when they appear on ABC  "This Week".

Also, on "This Week", in a special Mother’s Day Sunday Spotlight, Martha Raddatz speaks with moms on Capitol Hill Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., and soon-to-be mother Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Wash.

CBS "Face The Nation" also gets into the Beghazi hype with guests; former secretary of Defense Robert Gates, Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., Senator Ayotte, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. John McCain and Ambassador Thomas Pickering.

"Face The Nation" will also have on Maya Angelou, who has a new book out just in time for Mother's Day, it's called Mom & Me & Mom.

Not to be left out in the Benghazi media frenzy, CNN "State of The Union" will talk to Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine).

Then, CNN will look at the alarming rise in sexual assaults in the military with Congress’ two female Iraq combat veterans: Congresswomen Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL).

Fox News Sunday piles on with more Benghazi sensationalism with Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), and Rep. Adam Smith of the Armed Services Committee.

Of course, one would expect Fox News Sunday would have as a guest; former disgraced Republican Governor Mark Sanford, who just won a special election in S. Carolina.

The scheduled guests follow below.
