Global Economy in Steepest Downturn Since Recession Ended in 2009 - weak growth around the world is causing countries to lower interest rates.  Perhaps, the recession never ended.  Bloomberg.com has more here.

Gallup Poll Has Romney Up By 2 Points - in what turns out to be a tie with the margin of error, their lates poll has Mitt Romney with 47% and President Obama with 45%.

Obama has a wide margin over Romney among Jewish voters 64%-29% and Romney receives 84% of Mormon voters support to 13% to Obama.  Gallup.com has more here.

Syria Violence Continues - despite international condemnation, the Assad regime remains in power with reports of new shelling of the city of Homs.  The Washington Post has more here.

Supreme Court Decision Nears on Health Care - by the end of this month the Supreme Court will publicize their decision on teh Affordable Health Care Act.  While, many feel this decision will have impact on the presidential election, count me as one who believes for the vast majority of voters, their minds are already set and this decision will have little effect, one way or the other.  Politico.com weighs in here.

Obama-Romney Campaign Spending Target Swing States - the NY Times has a good read here where swing states like Iowa, who only has 6 electoral votes, are being bombarded with campaign ads.

The Romney campaign reported raising 76 million last month and the Obama campaign announced their haul was 60 million.  Campaign finance reform, anyone?
