Obama's Approval Drops - as gasoline prices climb, the President's approval rating has dropped, according to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll.
Overall approval has dropped to 46% with 50% disapproving. Only 26% approve of the way Obama is handling gas prices. The Washington Post has more here.

Alabama and Mississippi Primaries to be Close - new Public Polling Policy surveys shows Mitt Romney with 31% in Alabama, closely followed by Newt Gingrich at 30% and Rick Santorum at 29%. The poll has a margin of error of 4 points, so it is a three way tie.
In Mississippi, Gingrich was leading with 33%, Romney at 31% and Santorum at 27%.
Rep. Ron Paul (Tex.) received 8% in both states.

Romney Wins Guam, U.S. Territories and Wyoming - Santorum Wins Kansas - the Republican primary continues with Mitt Romney remaining the front runner.
Delegate totals are: Romney - 458, Santorum - 203, Gingrich - 118 and Paul - 66.
1,144 delegates are needed to secure the Republican Party nomination.
Coming up Tuesday are primaries in Mississippi and Alabama.
The Obama campaign has to be smiling as the Republican primary continues.

Romney Ahead in Illinois - a recent poll by The Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV shows Mitt Romney leading Rick Santorum 35% - 31%. Newt Gingrich had only 12% and Rep. Ron Paul had 7%. The Illinois primary will be held on March 20. You can read more here.

The morning shows will be heavy on the 2012 campaign and light on the international issues facing Americans today. Results from Republican caucuses in Wyoming and Kansas today are sure to be discussed.
Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, who are down, but not out of the Republican race for President, will appear on several of the talk shows.
Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley (D), who also chairs the Democratic Governors Association, faces off with his counterpart Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell (R), who chairs the Republican Governors Association.

President Obama calls for an "All of the Above" energy policy, stressing the need to develop more fuel efficient engines.
The president added his administration had raised fuel efficiency standards after 30 years of inaction.
As to domestic oil production, Obama noted oil production under his administration is at an eight year high.
