Cain Campaign Accuses Perry of Smear Attack - as new revelations have come forward of a third woman claiming to have been sexually harassed by Herman Cain while he was head of the National Restaurant Association. The NY Times is reporting Cain informed supporters by phone last night that the campaign of Texas Governor Rick Perry was behind the smear campaign against him. The NY Times has more here.

Obama in France For G-20 Summit - expect the discussion to be about the global financial crisis and in particular, the recent action by the Greece Prime Minister to call for a referendum on the bail out deal offered by Euro zone countries. Ohio Democrats To Petition for Referendum on Redistricting - having won several seats as a result of recall provisions and on the verge of winning a referendum repealing the anti-union bill signed by Republican Governor John Kasich, a petition drive will be started on the redistricting map signed by the Governor. Garagiola Kick-Off Announcement Goes Smoothly

Yesterday, Maryland state senator Robert Garagiola made stops in the newly configured sixth congressional district, some contend was carved out with him in mind.

He hopes to unseat Republican Roscoe Bartlett who has won the last ten elections. To date, Garagiola is facing opposition from former Montgomery County councilwoman Duchy Trachtenburg in the Democratic primary.

Garagiola made a smooth announcement tour, making sure to include portions of the "old" sixth congressional district by stopping in The City of Frederick, Cumberland and Hagerstown.

City of Frederick Democrats who have announced support include the only two Frederick County Democrats to win election last year; state senator Ron Young and state delegate Galen Clagett.

Also from The City of Frederick, well liked former state delegate Sue Hecht will be Garagiola's campaign treasurer and former Hecht campaign treasurer Kathy Rossen the assistant campaign treasurer.

Besides, Trachtenberg, whose campaign is reportedly being managed by Joe Trippi of Howard Dean for President campaign fame, other rumored Democratic candidates include former Montgomery County Executive Doug Duncan.

After redistricting, this seat is now considered a toss-up so voters can expect this contest to receive national attention and with it, big money infused into the campaign by the Republican and Democratic parties.

Perry Receives No Bump After Economic Speech - Texas Governor Rick Perry is polling at only 8% in the latest Quinnipiac poll of Republican presidential candidates. The poll, which was conducted prior to the Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, has Cain in first with 30%, Romney at 23% and a bump for Gingrich who received 10%. Quinnipiac has more here.

Cain Accuser Wants To Go Public - The Washington Post is reporting that one of the two woman who made claims against Herman Cain wants to tell her side of the story. Her lawyer says she is prohibited from speaking of the incident because of a non-disclosure agreement she signed with the National Restaurant Association. You can read more here.

Senate Republicans Likely To Block Latest Jobs Act Proposal - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has been unable to get past Republican opposition which stymied a vote for the American Jobs Act and then the aid to states for teachers and first responders.

The latest component of the American Jobs Act Reid will put forward tomorrow and it will include 50 Billion in infrastructure spending and 10 Billion for a national infrastructure Bank. TheHill.com has more here.

Germany and France Unhappy With Greek Referendum - French President Nicholas Sarkozy and Germany Angela Merkel will meet with Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou to discuss his latest move to hold a referendum on the 178 Billion bail-out proposal. Bowles Presents Compromise Plan to Deficit Super Committee - Erskine Bowles presented members with a 2.6 Trillion deficit reduction plan which includes revenue increases along with spending reductions.

General Election Presidential Debates Scheduled - yep, that's right and there will be three of them in October next year. The dates are October 3, 16 and 22 and they will be held at the University of Denver, Hosfstra University and Lynn University. Politico.com has more here.

The lone vice-president debate will be held on October 11.

The Commission on Presidential Debates announced the schedule yesterday. They will determine formats over the next several months and will choose moderators by next summer.

The GOP candidate and the Obama campaign will certainly add their input in regard to format. Stay tuned....

Obama Continues To Push American Jobs Act - Today, it is a media blitz live from the White House. The president will give interviews with nine local television reporters and give Hearst Television network access throughout the day. Cabinet Secretaries will also be present to talk about how passage of the bill will aid Americans.

U.S. Stops UNESCO Funding - in response to their granting full membership to Palestine, the U.S. announced they will not make a 60 million payment. The U.S. currently funds 20% of the UNESCO budget. This is not the first time the U.S. has withdrawn from UNESCO. It was also done under President Reagan and U.S. membership restored under President George W. Bush.

It is unlikely the action taken by UNESCO will lead to the U.N. granting statehood to Palestine. ABC News has more here.

Greece Referendum Threatens Euro Bail-Out - Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou announced a Referendum would be held in January. The prime minister is hoping a yes vote will end the massive street protests while bringing financial aid. However, a no vote will surely end the Eurozone financial package agreed to recently and lead to Greece leaving the Eurozone. The Wall Street Journal has more here.

Worldwide financial markets fell yesterday after news of the referendum was released.
