Grubb Files Candidate Committee with State

Former City of Frederick police captain and deputy chief Kevin Grubb informed me he filed his Statement of Organization for Campaign Finance Entities last Friday with the state of Maryland. It is called "Citizens For Kevin Grubb".

The Republican told me in early June he considering a run for Frederick County Sheriff next year .

This action allows him to raise funds and to conduct campaign activities, but falls short of actually filing for the office.

Kevin informed me he was still considering a run as an unaffiliated candidate, but is still considering his options.  He is looking to see what the state Republican Party does in regard to discussions surrounding allowing open primaries next year.

Frederick County Sherrif Chuck Jenkins (R) is expected to run for a third term next year.
