Obama and Boehner Meet on "Fiscal Cliff" - on Sunday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and President Obama met at the white House.  Negotiations continue as the deadline of January 1 nears for automatic cuts to the budget.  You can read more here.

Look to see a deal emerge that does include a tax hike on the wealthy, but perhaps at either a lower rate or on wage earners over $375,000-$500,000, instead of $250,000.

Protests Grow Against Michigan "Right to-Work" Legislation - the latest state with a Republican majority state legislature to move to enact union busting laws.  Demonstrations are expected to day and tomorrow as union activists and those supporting the bill will protest at the Capitol.  You can read more here.

62% Support Immigration Reform with Pathway to Citizenship - the poll released by Politico.com provides additional support to the efforts underway by lawmakers to finally agree on comprehensive immigration reform.

Egypt Moves Closer To Martial Law - with unrest continuing and demonstrations growing against the recent actions by President Mohamed Morsi to assume more powers, along with the planned referendum on the 15th to legitimize the actions, Morsi has granted the military the authority to arrest civilians.  The Washington Post has more here.
