Warren Raises $7 Million in September - Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren, who is in a close race with Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, announced her campaign had raised $12.1 million in the third quarter compared to the $7.45 million raised by the Brown campaign.  You can read more here.

DCCC Outraised NRCC in September - The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee outraised the National Republican Congressional Committee in September. The DCCC raised $15.3 million to the NRCC's $12.4 million. The DCCC ended September with $26.4 million in cash on hand, while the NRCC had $29.5 million in the bank.  You can read more here.

Issa Voted To Cut Half-Billion Dollars from State Department - Representative Darrell Issa (R-Calf.) voted for an amendment that would have cut nearly 300 diplomatic security positions. And the draconian budgets proposed by Mitt Romney’s running mate, Representative Paul Ryan, would cut foreign affairs spending by 10 percent in 2013 and even more in 2016. You can read more here.
