Obama To Deliver Jobs Speech on September 8 -
This comes after House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) objected to the Wednesday September 7 date. The Republican presidential debate is scheduled for Wednesday and Boehner correctly feared the time of Obama's address to Congress, scheduled for 8:00 PM ET would conflict with the debate. The Washington Post has more here.

So, President Obama agreed to change to Thursday at 8:00 PM ET. Now, his competition will be NFL football.

One, has to wonder why the President chose to schedule his speech to conflict with the Republican Presidential debate in the first place.

The president's speech on jobs comes as the latest CNN/ORD poll show 65% of Americans disapprove of the president's handling of the economy. You can read more here.

Palin To Visit South Korea -
the former governor of Alaska will speak at at the World Knowledge Forum in Seoul. Perhaps, by addressing this global meeting of business leaders, she hopes to add to her weak foreign policy credentials as she continues to consider a run for president. CNN.com has more here.
