Biden Optimistic On Budget Deal -
Vice President Joe Biden has been meeting with Congressional leaders and feels much has been agreed on to reduce the deficit by 4 Trillion over the next decade. The Wall Street Journal has more here.

An agreement to raise the nation's debt limit would follow.


Romney Speaks On Health Care -
Republican candidate for president, Mitt Romney did not run from his days as Governor of Massachusetts when he championed and passed a health care bill similar to what was passed by the Obama administration.

Senate Ethics Committee Says Ensign Engaged in Improper Conduct -
Republican John Ensign (Nev.) already has announced his resignation, but that did not stop the ethics committee from issuing letters to the Justice Department and the Federal Election Commission that say credible evidence exists to suggest Ensign violated senate rules and federal civil and criminal laws. has more here. U.S. Interviews Bin Laden Wives -
CNN is reporting the interviews took place with Pakistan military cooperation. All three wives were present during the raid which killed Bin Laden. One of the wives was shot in the leg. The U.S. is requesting the opportunity to interview them again. has more here.


Taliban Bombers Kill 80 in Pakistan -
in what they say is revenge for the killing of Osama Bin Laden. Suicide bombers attacked a Pakistan paramilitary academy. has more here.


Did You know? - Republicans on Judiciary Committee Kill Bill Blocking Arm Sales To Suspected Terrorists -
the 21-11 vote in the House committee was along partisan lines. It would have blocked arm sales to those on the FBI's terrorist watch list. has more here.


Large Donations To Non-Profit Political Organization Catch IRS Eye -
seems some very wealthy benefactors have given large donations which would trigger a 35% gift tax, but taxes were never paid. has more here.
