Tax Extension Compromise Expected to be Announced Soon - hardly a surprise. After, the show and bluster by Democrats in the House and Senate on votes to only extend tax cuts for those earning $250,000 or less. Meanwhile, U.S. Foreign Policy Remains a Question Mark - the U.S. is accusing China of enabling North Korea in it's nuclear development and looking the other way in regard to the latest military actions by North Korea directed at South Korea. The Washington Post has more here.

While, over in Afghanistan, U.S. General David Petraus says "success is complicated.. it will take a long haul and U.S. commitment". has more here.
