Finally, President Obama will focus on the economy
- this weekend, he is at the presidential retreat located in the Catoctin mountains near Thurmont, Maryland. Here, he will put the finishing touches on new proposals aimed at job creation.

On Monday, he will hit the road, traveling to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to give a speech at the AFL-CIO annual Labor day event. Wednesday, he is in Cleveland, Ohio. Friday, he is holding a televised press conference.

Let's see what he has to say as the "Recovery Summer" theme was a failure. TheHill.com has more here.

Only 4 in 10 Americans approve of President obama's handling of the Economy - according to a new CNN?Opinion research poll conducted September 1-2. 93% of Republicans disapproved of Obama's economic policies, while 72% of Democrats say they approve. Independents were 2-1 against the president. CNN.com has more here.

Not a good sign for Democrats with only two months to go to the mid term elections.

No more debates for Arizona Republican Governor Jan Brewer -
says the governor who has received nationwide attention as a result of her signing a controversial immigration law. In a debate earlier this week, she had an awkward 17 second brain freeze, during which she did not say a word during her opening remarks. She later tried to laugh it off, saying it was the longest 17 seconds in her life. Brewer went on to say the only reason she did this one debate was to qualify for 1.7 million in public financing.

As one who has experienced the nervousness/fear of public speaking, I can sympathize. However, once you decide to enter the public domain, you have to face the music. The governor also refused to answer questions pertaining to her claim of beheadings in Arizona due to illegal immigration. A claim that has not be documented. Politico.com has more here.
Brewer is facing Democrat Terry Goddard who may receive a boost as a result.

In the last four months Jan Brewer has been caught lying, three times and counting.

The comments made on June 16, 2010, and June 27, 2010, clearly indicates that the Brewer says that immigrants are beheading people in the United States desert. She first ran away from the question and the press when confronted with the question. She finally when to FOX/ FAKE News to recant her lie.

When Brewer was confronted with the fact the two of her top Advisors (Paul Senseman, Chuck Coughlin) are lobbyist for “Private Prisons” giant CCA she first ran away from the question and the press.

In an attempt to gain sympathy, she first said her father had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (which ended 1945) but of course we find out the truth that her father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955. Do you see a trend here?

Brewer signed into law SB 1070 Bill (Did she even read it?), lied about the crime rates in AZ (even Janet Napolitano knows that all crimes rates went down), and now we find out that she is in the pockets of PRIVATE PRISONS who stand to benefit with the increase Federal jailing, and thus they will pay her back, I wonder if it has to do anything about the fact that her son was transferred to a brand new prison, he was convicted for rape and sexual assault, I guess the fruit does not fall far the tree.
