This morning, President Barack Obama and White House staff observed a moment of silence in dedication and memory of 9/11 - the president has a full day of events planned, including the laying of a wreath at the Pentagon memorial. Politico.com has more here.

Vice President Joe Biden will head to New York City to attend the commemoration ceremony.

Democratic challenger Rob Miller raises $724,000 in a little over one day - next year he will be facing Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC). Wilson is the Republican who embarrassed himself and his Party when he shouted "you lie" to President Obama during his speech to Congress Wednesday night. Obama to appear on CBS "60 Minutes" this Sunday - Steve Kroft will conduct the one hour interview tomorrow and it will be broadcast on Sunday September 13. Expect a wide range of topics to be discussed, including health care reform, Afghanistan, the economy, and H1N1 Flu.

Senate marks death of Ted Kennedy with full day of speeches - yesterday was a day to honor the late Ted Kennedy and many speeches were given. A resolution was also introduced to name the Caucus Room in the Russell Senate Office Building the "Kennedy Caucus Room". TheHill.com has more here.
