Supreme Court OKs closing of dealerships, sale of Chrysler to Fiat to proceed - the sale of Chrysler to Fiat could be concluded as early as today, allowing Chrysler to emerge out of bankruptcy protection. You can read more here.

Russia announces it will reduce their share of U.S. Treasuries - yesterday, they indicated they would be investing in Bonds issued by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The value of the U.S. dollar has already felt a drop. Reuters.com has more here. The amount of U.S. debt held by foreign countries has long been a concern. Stay Tuned.

Sotomayor Confirmation Hearing to begin July 13 - The chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) announced the date yesterday. President Obama would like the vote to happen by August 7 when the Senate begins a five week recess. Republican leaders want to push the vote back to September. The Washington Post has more here.

Senate Democrats unveil health care bill, hard fought battle to follow - Senator Chris Dodd (D-Vt.), subbing for an ailing senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), began circulating the draft bill yesterday. With 47 million uninsured Americans, this is way past due. CNN.com has more here. House Democrats followed and also introduced their version for health care reform yesterday. Gallup Poll shows Republican voters unable to name a leader of their party - the question that was asked "main person who speaks for the Republican party" resulted in 47% being unable to identify a person. To add more woes for Republicans, Rush Limbaugh, the radio talk show host led with 10% along with Newt Gingrich who also had 10%. Dick Cheney received 9% of the vote. Gallup.com has more here.
