Democratic Presidential Debate from New Hampshire Tonight

This Debate is hosted by ABC News along with ABC affiliate WMUR and Facebook. "World News" Anchor Charles Gibson will be the moderator.

It is being held at Saint Anselm College located in Manchester, New Hampshire. This is a double header of sorts as they will also be hosting a Republican Presidential Debate. The New Hampshire primary is Tuesday January 8th..

The Republican Debate will start at 7:00 PM EST and go to 8:30 PM EST. I believe the following candidates will be appearing - Giuliani, Huckabee, McCain, Paul, Romney, and Thompson.

The Democrats begin their Debate at 8:45 PM EST and end at 10:15 PM EST. The Democratic candidates on hand will be Obama, Edwards, Clinton, and Richardson. This will make it interesting for it will be less candidates participating and hopefully the debate will focus on the positions on the issues.

Remember, both Biden and Dodd dropped out after Iowa and neither Gravel or Kucinich received any significant votes in the Iowa caucus.

This political double-header will be competing with the start of the football wild card play-offs and their double-header today. My Washington Redskins play in Seattle starting at 4:30 PM EST. They have had a tough year which included the tragic death of Sean Taylor but coach Joe Gibbs has them in the play-offs after finishing with four straight victories. Fortunately for me there is no scheduling conflict with the Debates so I will be watching both.

However, for you Jacksonville Jaguar and Pittsburgh Steelers fans you will have to flip the channels tonight as your game starts at 8:00 PM EST.
